Meeting of the National Assessment Team Tasked with Evaluating Academic Programs with Heads of Academic Departments…

As part of the field visit conducted by the National Assessment Team tasked with evaluating academic programs at the College of Education for Pure Sciences – University of Karbala, the team held an extensive meeting with the heads of the college’s academic departments. The meeting was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hamida Aidan Salman, and several members of the Quality Assurance and Program Accreditation Committee.

During the meeting, the quality and program accreditation standards for undergraduate programs were discussed, along with mechanisms for documenting evidence and indicators that demonstrate the departments’ adherence to these standards. The efforts made in developing curricula and improving the educational and research environment within the college were also reviewed.

The National Assessment Team emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of quality among faculty members and students, and of working as a unified team to meet the requirements for institutional and program accreditation, thereby ensuring the quality of education and raising the academic level of Iraqi universities.
