The College of Education for Pure Sciences Organizes a Training Course on the Basics of Linear Algebra and Computer Graphics.

The Department of Mathematics, College of Education for Pure Sciences, organized a training course titled “Introducing the Basics of Linear Algebra and Computer Graphics Using MATLAB.”

The course was presented by:
Asst. Lect. Jamal Kazem Obaid
Asst. Lect. Kawthar Abdul Abbas Hassoun
Ms. Dunya Hakim Hamoud

This course aims to develop participants’ skills in using modern scientific software and employing it in mathematical and educational fields.

The course included several topics, most notably an introduction to the MATLAB program and the basics of its use in numerical and symbolic analysis, as well as linear algebra applications, such as working with matrices, solving linear systems, two- and three-dimensional computer graphics, and how to represent data and plot mathematical functions interactively.

The researchers recommended paying attention to such topics, given the pivotal role linear algebra plays in various fields of science and engineering. It is the foundation for data analysis, mathematical modeling, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, as well as being the cornerstone of computer graphics used in designing three-dimensional models and simulations.
