The Dean’s Participation in the Fourth International Conference on Humanities


The esteemed Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Prof. Hamida Eidan Salman, participated in the Fourth International Conference on Humanities, organized by the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Karbala in cooperation with Hilla Private University and Masoumeh University (peace be upon her) in the holy city of Qom. A number of researchers from inside and outside Iraq participated in the conference. In his speech, the University President, Prof. Sabah Wajid Ali, stated, “The University of Kerbala is keen to host international conferences that align with its ambitious vision and its relentless pursuit of excellence and the advancement of scientific research. These conferences also provide vital platforms for exchanging expertise, discussing contemporary challenges, and moving towards globalization, thus enhancing scientific and international cooperation and building relationships between researchers and academics.”
The University President added that this conference represents a valuable opportunity for students and professors to learn about the latest scientific developments and innovative research methodologies, noting that the humanities have become of great importance in the tremendous progress, various transformations, and achieving sustainable development.
For his part, the Dean of the College, Dr. Hadi Al-Saidi, explained that the conference aims to exchange academic and scientific expertise among researchers inside and outside Iraq to advance scientific reality and identify the challenges facing progress.
Al-Saidi explained that more than 90 research papers were accepted, ranging from various humanities disciplines, including English language, translation, Arabic language, applied geography, history, educational and psychological sciences, information systems, tourism services, and issues of self-development. The President of Hilla Private University, Prof. Aqeel Al-Saadi, stated that the ongoing cooperation with the University of Kerbala in organizing various scientific activities supports the scientific research movement in Iraq, disseminates knowledge, and contributes to community service. The conference was attended by Dr. Firas Al-Maslamawi, a member of the Parliamentary Education Committee; Dr. Qasim Al-Yasari, Chairman of the Provincial Council; Dr. Aqeel Al-Saadi, President of Hilla University; Dr. Mohsen Al-Kanani, Chairman of the Council’s Higher Education Committee; Miss Israa Al-Nasrawi, Chairman of the Council’s Cultural Committee; and a number of researchers from inside and outside the country.
