The Department of biology at the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a training course on (training students to prepare laboratory slides), delivered by: (Asst. Prof. Dr. Batoul Abbas Hussein), ( Asst. Lect. Hoda Moayed Abdel Redha), and (Asst. Lect. Huda Sahib Abd al-Rasul). The course aimed to train undergraduate students in the biology Department on methods of preparing temporary laboratory slides, whether animal or plant, and examining them under a microscope to see the components of their cells. The course also included several topics, including giving a theoretical lecture to the students to clarify methods for preparing laboratory slides, and then training them practically inside the laboratory in the department. After that, their practical training was completed by taking other samples of fruits and vegetables, as well as conducting a course test for them. Researchers have called for attention to such topics in order to conduct other specialized courses to train them in preparing permanent laboratory slides, as well as preparing tissue cultures of many samples to see them clearly using oil lenses.
