Under the patronage of the President of Karbala University, the respected Professor Dr. Basem Khalil Nayel, and with the support of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, the Committee for Empowerment of Women at the University of Karbala held its scientific symposium entitled (Violence against Women .. Causes and Treatments) as part of the activities of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on 25 / 11/2020. Chairman of the Women Empowerment Committee Prof. Yasmine Khudair Khalaf indicated that the aim of the symposium is to shed light on cases of domestic violence in particular, which have increased in proportion in light of the Corona pandemic and to find effective treatments to eliminate this phenomenon, which has become more dangerous and deadly than the pandemic.
