The Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Prof. Dr. Hamida Aidan Salman, attended a scientific seminar held at Al-Zahrawi University on investment in Karbala and its impact on comprehensive development, in cooperation with the University of Kerbala.

In his address, the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, stated that Kerbala is no longer a city solely dependent on religious seasons, but has transformed into a promising environment attracting both national and foreign capital.

He pointed out that the university, based on its scientific and national responsibility, believes in the necessity of aligning higher education outcomes with the needs of the labor market and investing intellectual capital to support sustainable development plans. He explained that Kerbala Governorate possesses unique investment potential, primarily in religious and tourism sectors, as it receives millions of visitors annually, opening up vast opportunities for hotel, housing, and logistics projects.

The seminar was attended by several college deans, as well as the Governor of Kerbala, Engineer Nassif al-Khattabi, members of Parliament, representatives of the local government, and directors of administrative units and service departments.
