The College of Education for Pure Sciences Organizes a Training Course on the Techniques and Equipment Used in the Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory.
The Chemistry Department at the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a training course entitled “Technologies and Equipment Used in the Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory.”
The course was presented by:
Asst. Prof. Dr. Rehab Jassim Mohammed
Asst. Prof. Abdul Muttalib Bader
Asst. Lect. Zainab Moussa Shaker
This course aimed to provide participants with the theoretical knowledge and essential practical skills related to laboratory equipment used in biochemistry labs, by introducing the types of equipment, their functions, and operating principles.
The course covered several topics, including an introduction to clinical biochemistry laboratories and their importance in medical diagnosis, as well as the role of equipment in providing accurate and reliable results.
The researchers recommended focusing on such topics to enhance practical training by applying acquired knowledge in the actual work environment. They also recommended providing instructional manuals and explaining the correct operating procedures for each piece of equipment. In addition to developing the trainees’ ability to handle laboratory equipment safely and correctly, and to adhere to occupational safety procedures to prevent potential hazards within the laboratory.
