The Chemistry Department at the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a workshop entitled “Empowering Students to Live in Harmony with Nature: Towards Practical Strategies for Integrating Environmental Sustainability into Human Development Plans.”

This workshop aimed to empower students to understand the principles of environmental sustainability and enhance their ability to live in harmony with nature. It provided them with practical and applicable strategies for integrating the environmental dimension into human development plans, contributing to building responsible environmental awareness and supporting sustainable development paths at both the individual and societal levels.

The workshop covered several topics, including the concepts of environmental sustainability and nature, defining sustainability and its environmental, economic, and social dimensions, and explaining the importance of balancing the use and preservation of natural resources.

The researchers recommended focusing on such topics to promote the integration of environmental sustainability concepts into the curriculum and to encourage students to implement environmental initiatives both within and outside the college. And supporting scientific research related to solutions for local environmental problems.
