Welcome to First-Year Students in the Chemistry Department

The Chemistry Department welcomed first-year students (morning program) at an orientation meeting held specifically for them at the start of the new academic year. The meeting was attended by the Head of the Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Shatha Abdul-Amir Jawad, the Department Coordinator, Lecturer Abdul-Mutallab Bader Muhanna, and first-year coordinators.

This meeting was held as part of the department’s commitment to providing a supportive academic environment and highlighting the most important educational guidelines and values ​​that contribute to building the character of university students.

The Head of the Department delivered a welcoming address, congratulating the students on beginning their academic journey at the university. She emphasized the department’s commitment to providing everything necessary for their academic success and encouraged them to be diligent and hardworking, utilizing all available scientific and laboratory resources.

The Department Coordinator and first-year coordinators also provided a set of educational and organizational guidelines related to attendance, communication methods, dress code, and university conduct. They also explained the lecture and examination system and how to benefit from the support of professors and academic advisors.

At the end of the meeting, the students expressed their happiness with the warm welcome and the level of attention they received, wishing that the new academic year would be a gateway to excellence and success.
