Prof. Dr. Ashwaq Kadhim Obaid from the Department of Biology and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Khairallah Shaheed from the Department of Physics participated in the Updated Teaching Competency (Educational) Examination Committee.
A number of applicants holding advanced degrees in educational disciplines for the 2025-2026 academic year were tested to qualify them for teaching positions in higher education institutions.
The examination included presentations by applicants in the fields of chemistry, physics, and Arabic language, followed by discussions, evaluative questions, and scientific and educational guidance from committee members. The focus was on key areas, most notably classroom management, time management, teaching methods, feedback, and academic competency standards. Such examinations contribute to enhancing the quality of higher education and developing the skills of future teaching staff.
