Discussing the Mechanisms for Implementing the Bologna System
The Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Prof. Hamida Eidan Salman, chaired an expanded meeting that included the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Ghassan Adnan Qahtan, and the directors of the academic and administrative departments. The meeting discussed ways to activate the Bologna System at the college, in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research aimed at developing the educational system in Iraq. During the meeting, the proposed plans and implementation requirements were reviewed, as well as the administrative and technical challenges associated with implementing the system, which will contribute to ensuring a smooth transition to this advanced educational model. The Dean emphasized the need for concerted efforts and teamwork to ensure the system’s desired goals are achieved. She emphasized the importance of adhering to the specified timelines and intensifying awareness and training workshops for faculty and staff. At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed to form subcommittees to monitor implementation phases and submit the necessary recommendations to the college’s deanship, in line with internationally recognized quality and institutional accreditation standards.
