Discussion of a Doctoral Thesis

Lecturer (Prof. Dr. Yasmine Khudair Khalaf) from the Department of Life Sciences participated as a member in the committee discussing the doctoral thesis of the student (Zahraa Kadhim Lafi) from the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies / University of Baghdad, about her thesis entitled (Association of Multiple Genotypes of the Vitamin D Receptor Gene with its Serum Level and Gene Expression of Two Pro-inflammatory and Anti-inflammatory Cellular Drivers (IL18, IL27) in a sample of Patients with Multiple Sclerosis).
The study aimed to investigate the association between multiple vitamin D receptor (VDR) genotypes and the serum level and gene expression of two stimulatory and anti-inflammatory cellular drivers, interleukin 27 and interleukin 18, in a sample of Iraqi multiple sclerosis patients.
Congratulations to the teaching staff for this great achievement and further creativity and scientific progress.
