The Department of Biology Holds a Training Course on Collecting Blood Samples and dealing with laboratory animals

Training Course

Within the series of scientific activities held by the scientific departments in the College of Education for Pure Sciences and under the guidance of the respected Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences (Professor Dr. Hamida Aidan Salman), the Department of Life Sciences held an in-person training course entitled (Collecting blood samples and dealing with laboratory animals) in the hall of the late Professor Hussein Ali Abdel-Latif delivered by: (Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abdel-Sajjad Muhammad Hussein), (Prof. Dr. Zainab Nizar Jawad), and (Prof. Dr. Shaima Malik Yasser). It was attended by both teachers and researchers interested in this topic, as well as a group of students. Where the course aimed to:
1- Learn about the most prominent techniques used in dealing with laboratory animals and collecting blood samples, as well as methods
2- Knowing the important principles in dealing with animal groups to reach the best required results, as animals are widely used for experiments in almost every laboratory
3- Access to the appropriate animal that is suitable for the biological study by using these animals to test the effect of drugs before entering them into clinical trials. In addition, animals are used in educational institutions to prove the effect of drugs for teaching purposes.
4- Provide good health care for animals throughout the breeding period.
5- Creating a suitable environment for animals to adapt, and this will reduce stress for the animal and help avoid injuries to the animal and the researcher as well, and collect the best samples to reach the best results.
We wish more creativity and progress in the field of meaningful scientific activities and cooperation between the college and the official authorities in service of our dear college.
