The Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs at the College of Education for Pure Sciences / University of Karbala, Prof. Dr. (Muhammad Nazim Bahjat) chaired the discussion committee for the master’s thesis entitled (Preparation and Diagnosis of Gel Polymers and the Study of their Industrial Applications), to the student (Maryam Imran Kafi) at the College of Science / Anbar University on Thursday Coincidentally 12/17/2020. The thesis presented by the student was aimed at preparing hydrogel polymers as materials used in the manufacture of drug carriers, as well as preparing hydrogel polymers of the type combs as materials with high water absorption and use for agricultural purposes. In addition to using materials from fruit residues and corn seeds to extract pectin and protein, and using them to prepare hydrogels, uncomplicated techniques and simple methods were used to prepare hydrogel. The student was able through this study to prepare hydrogels of all kinds (recombinant, mixed, combined) from pectin and protein prepared with monomers and polymers, and the results of the measurements were consistent with the theoretical expectations.
