The Department of Life Sciences at the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a scientific seminar entitled “Preparing Fourth-Year Students for Teaching Practical Work in Secondary Schools.”
The seminar was presented by a delegation from the Karbala Governorate Education Directorate:

This seminar aimed to prepare fourth-year students for their teaching practicum in secondary schools by reviewing the mechanisms of practical application within secondary schools and explaining the most important modern teaching methods.
The seminar included several topics on the importance of practical application in preparing future teachers, the role of secondary schools in refining the skills of student teachers, and the mechanisms for linking theoretical knowledge at the college with practical application in schools.
The researchers recommended paying attention to such topics to emphasize the necessity of holding intensive training courses before students begin their practical training. They also stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the college and the education directorate to ensure the success of the practical application and adopting modern teaching methods that meet the requirements of contemporary education.
