The Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences Attends the Third International Scientific Conference on Agricultural Sciences

The Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Professor Dr. Hamida Aidan Salman, attended the Third International Scientific Conference on Agricultural Sciences, organized by the College of Agriculture at the University of Karbala.

In a speech delivered on his behalf by his Assistant for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Jassim Al-Maamouri, the University President, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid, stated that this conference is being held at a critical global juncture, where the challenges of climate change intersect with issues of food security, together forming one of the most serious threats facing humanity in the present and future.

For his part, the Dean of the College, Dr. Ali Abdul Hussein, explained that accelerating climate change is no longer merely an academic hypothesis, but has become a reality that casts a shadow on our natural resources and food security. He pointed out that the aim of the conference is to translate scientific research from theoretical studies into practical applications and to develop a roadmap that integrates smart technology with sustainable practices.

The conference was attended by the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Jassim Al-Maamouri, several deans of colleges, representatives of the local government in Karbala, and specialized academic figures.
