Congratulations to the Iraqi people on this day, when the sons of Iraq wrote epics of heroism and liberated their land from the terrorist gangs of ISIS, heralding a new beginning of security and stability.
The Iraqi Victory Day… is the day of the independence of the Iraqi will, the day the voices of the nation rose above all challenges, and the meaning of sacrifice and steadfastness was embodied.
With the fatwa of sufficient jihad issued by the leader of the nation and its refuge, the Supreme Religious Authority, Ali al-Sistani, the spirit of sacrifice and selflessness was unleashed in the hearts of Iraqis, who rose up to defend their land and holy sites.
The fatwa of jihad triumphed on the day the sons of Iraq stood as one, guarding the homeland with their blood and faith. From the blood of the martyrs and the stances of the heroes, a new page of pride and dignity emerged. That blessed fatwa was the spark that unified the ranks and contributed to the liberation of Iraq from the terrorist gangs of ISIS, thus writing a bright page of steadfastness and courage in the history of the nation.
