As part of scientific and academic cooperation among Iraqi universities, Assistant Prof. Dr. Shaimaa Malik Yasser, a faculty member from the Department of Biology, participated as a member of the ministerial committee tasked with completing the requirements for establishing a PhD program in the Department of Biology, College of Education, University of Basra.
The committee was received by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ali Darab Shaaban, and the Head of the Department of Life Sciences. The Dean welcomed the committee, praising its role in supporting academic programs and enhancing scientific rigor.
The committee reviewed the infrastructure, academic structure, and relevant departments, as well as assessing the college’s readiness to host the new program according to the Ministry’s standards.
This participation reinforces the role of the College of Education for Pure Sciences in supporting the educational process and exchanging expertise with Iraqi universities to discuss the academic and administrative aspects related to establishing the program.
