The Department of Life Sciences at the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a training course entitled: (Training students on the use of water potential measuring devices for plant samples).

This course aimed to train students on the use of various water potential measuring devices for plant samples, which is important for developing students’ skills and providing them with specialized knowledge, thus contributing to their preparation for the job market.
The course covered several topics, including an introduction to the concept of water potential and its physiological importance in plants, an explanation of the types of water potential measuring devices used in plant studies, and practical training on the operation and calibration of the devices.
The researchers recommended the importance of continuing to offer such courses to enhance students’ practical skills. Providing modern and advanced equipment for measuring water potential in the department’s laboratories.
