The College of Education for Pure Sciences held a workshop entitled “The Karbala International Journal of Pure Sciences: Between Reality and Aspiration,” as part of its ongoing efforts to develop the journal, raise its scientific standards, discuss its current status and prospects, and address the requirements for rigorous scientific publication according to international academic standards.

The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Bader Roumi from the University of Thi Qar, in the presence of the Director of the Quality Assurance Division, Professor Dr. Riyadh Delfi. Dr. Roumi reviewed the most prominent challenges facing the journal and ways to develop it, emphasizing the importance of adhering to rigorous academic standards to ensure the quality of published research.

The workshop covered several important topics, including the current state of the Karbala International Journal of Pure Sciences, standards for rigorous scientific publication, mechanisms for improving the journal and achieving scientific aspirations, and the role of professors and researchers in supporting scientific journals and enhancing their scientific standing.

The Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Professor Dr. Hamida Aidan Salman, emphasized the importance of applying quality standards and scientific rigor in supporting academic journals and improving their rankings.

This workshop is part of the scientific activities that the College of Education for Pure Sciences regularly organizes to support scientific research and enhance the standing of its scientific journals both locally and internationally.
