The Physics Department at the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a scientific seminar on mechanisms for combating financial and administrative corruption and promoting transparency.

This seminar aimed to define the concept of corruption, the difference between a corrupt individual and a corruptor, administrative corruption and its types, as well as financial corruption and its types.
The seminar included several sessions on the causes of financial and administrative corruption in Iraq and its economic, administrative, social, and political effects on society.
The researchers recommended the importance of addressing such topics in order to develop proposed mechanisms for combating corruption within the legal and institutional framework, administrative reform, transparency, accountability, and building a culture of integrity.
