A Faculty Member from the Department of Biology Publishes a Scientific Article on Biorobots and the Modern Medical Revolution…
Prof. Dr. Israa Nasser Ghulam from the Department of Biology published a scientific article titled “Biorobots… The Modern Medical Revolution,” coinciding with November, which is known as Science and Technology Month.
The article discusses the latest scientific innovations in the field of bioengineering. The year 2025 witnessed an unprecedented achievement: the invention of biorobots. These are microscopic organisms manufactured from living human cells, capable of autonomous movement and responding to their surrounding environment.
The professor explained that researchers from Harvard University were able to develop these robots to perform precise functions within the human body, such as repairing damaged tissue and delivering medication directly to diseased cells without causing side effects. These robots are also biodegradable after completing their tasks, making them completely safe for medical use.
She emphasized that this innovation is a turning point in the history of regenerative medicine and targeted therapy, and represents an advanced step towards smart medicine that combines biology and microengineering in order to develop effective treatments for chronic diseases and internal wounds.
