Lecturer Hamid Jawad Kadhim from the Department of BIOLOGY published a scientific article titled “Arabic: The Language of Scientific Thought.”
In it, he explained that Arabic is indeed the language of scientific thought.
Language is not merely a means of communication, but a tool for thought that shapes human consciousness and organizes knowledge. Hence, the importance of Arabic in university education becomes clear, as it empowers students with analytical skills, precision, and rigorous scientific expression.
He also clarified that weakening Arabic within the university environment not only diminishes its pronunciation but also weakens intellectual capacity itself, since the mind cannot think except in its own language. History has proven that Arabic is a language capable of encompassing scientific concepts and formulating precise terminology with remarkable flexibility.
In conclusion, he emphasized that restoring the status of Arabic in teaching and scientific research is not a return to the past, but rather a step towards a new intellectual renaissance that restores the university to its true purpose and gives the Arab mind its language of thought and creativity.
