Second-year Biology Students Take Their Practical Exam Using a New System…
As part of the Biology Department’s commitment to developing practical assessment methods and enhancing student skills, second-year students took their practical exam using the Station System. This system is used in scientific and applied colleges. The exam concept is to divide the exam hall into stations, each representing a practical question or specific task. Students are given a short amount of time (usually 5–10 minutes) to answer or complete each station, then move on to the next station upon hearing the signal. This system aims to break the rigidity and routine of traditional exams.
This system is an enjoyable learning experience that allows students to move between multiple stations, where they are assessed on various skills within a specific timeframe. This contributes to developing their practical and thinking abilities and fostering a spirit of interaction and participation during the exam.
