Meeting of the Educational Guidance Committee in the Physics Department…

As part of the ongoing monitoring of the work of the Educational Guidance Committee and its commitment to enhancing the educational and psychological well-being of students, a number of committee members in the Physics Department held a meeting chaired by Prof. Dr. Ali Abbas Ghaziwi, Chairman of the Educational Guidance Committee, and attended by Dr. Abbas Fadel, a committee member and the person responsible for the third phase of morning studies.

During the meeting, the college’s student disciplinary laws and mechanisms for their optimal implementation were discussed, ensuring the creation of an academic environment based on discipline and mutual respect between students and faculty. The duties of the educational counselor and their role in monitoring students’ academic and behavioral affairs were also clarified. This is achieved through direct communication with them, identifying their academic and social problems and obstacles, and seeking to address them using appropriate educational methods that contribute to strengthening students’ sense of responsibility and belonging.

The attendees emphasized the importance of activating educational counseling at all levels of study, documenting cases that require ongoing follow-up, and holding periodic meetings with students to raise awareness of university laws and the role of counseling in improving the educational environment within the department.
