Plant Taxonomy Lectures for Second-Year Students (Evening Study)

The Department of Biology in the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a lecture on Plant Taxonomy for second-year students (Evening Study), under the supervision of Assist Prof. Dr. Ban Abdul-Hussein Al-Khafaji.

The lecture included an introduction to the foundations of plant taxonomy and scientific concepts related to plant structure and methods of identifying them. It highlighted the importance of studying taxonomy in understanding plant diversity and linking theoretical aspects to practical applications in the laboratory.

Students also participated in scientific discussions and practical applications aimed at consolidating their theoretical knowledge and enhancing their scientific skills, contributing to building a solid knowledge base that supports their academic progress.

This activity is part of a series of scientific lectures that the Department of Biology is keen to hold with the aim of raising the academic level of students and providing an interactive academic environment that encourages scientific research and a deep understanding of the major’s courses.
