Kerbala Academics Elect Members of the Academics Syndicate Council. The University President Appreciates the Efforts of the Former Syndicate President and Members.

The University of Kerbala Hosted the Third Electoral Conference for Membership in the General Conference of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, Kerbala Branch.

The conference included voting to elect 10 members to the Syndicate’s Board of Directors. Eighteen academic candidates competed for membership.

The voting process was supervised by a committee from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, headed by Dr. Waad al-Dulaimi.

In a speech representing the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem al-Aboudi, the University President, Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, praised the efforts of the former Syndicate President and members for their efforts in serving academics.

Wajid added, “We hope that the new session will be a promising start toward greater organization, communication, and positive influence on educational policies,” noting that “positive accumulation of work is the foundation of all progress and stability.”

The electoral conference was attended by the university president, Professor Sabah Wajid Ali, and his assistants for administrative and academic affairs, Dr. Jassim Al-Maamouri and Dr. Haider Mohammed Imran, the governor of Karbala, Eng. Nassif Al-Khattabi, the chairman and members of the provincial council, parliamentary and official figures, as well as a group of deans and academics from inside and outside the university.
