The First Meeting of the College of Education for Pure Sciences Council for the Academic Year 2025-2026 Was Held…
The College of Education for Pure Sciences Council held its first meeting for the new academic year (2025-2026), chaired by the Dean of the College, Prof. Hamida Eidan Salman, and attended by the Council members and the Secretary of the College Council.
The meeting began with a recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq. The Council members were then welcomed to the new academic year, emphasizing the importance of intensifying efforts with the start of the new academic year, in line with the College’s plans and vision to advance the educational and research process.
The Council discussed several important topics on its agenda, most notably: • Organizing study schedules and distributing materials to the various academic levels to ensure the smooth flow of the educational process. • Distributing graduation research projects to fourth-year students, emphasizing the importance of selecting scientific topics that serve the labor market and keep pace with recent developments in scientific disciplines.
• Preparing a monthly exam schedule to help periodically assess student performance and motivate ongoing attendance.
• Enhancing the regularity of official attendance for students and faculty members, and ensuring the activation of the Absences Committee to monitor student attendance and commitment.
• The role of the Educational Guidance Committee in raising students’ awareness and educating them about the nature of the university campus and promoting university values and student ethics.
• Emphasizing adherence to university attire as part of the student’s identity and a reflection of the level of discipline within the college.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean emphasized the need to work as a team and ensure a suitable academic and educational environment that contributes to raising the academic level of students and supports the college’s progress towards achieving academic and research excellence.
