On this painful occasion, the College of Education for Pure Sciences held a moment of silence to remember those noble souls, express human solidarity with the families of the victims, and renew the pledge that such crimes will remain etched in the national memory, bearing witness to the magnitude of the tragedy and serving as a lesson for future generations to reject injustice and tyranny and defend justice and human dignity.
We mark the 42nd anniversary of the brutal Anfal campaigns, which constituted one of the most heinous crimes against humanity. They targeted the elderly, children, women, and youth, resulting in the disappearance of more than 8,000 innocent citizens in mass massacres carried out by the former dictatorial regime, in flagrant violation of all human values and principles.
We ask God Almighty to bestow His mercy on the martyrs, to inspire their families with patience and tranquility, and to protect our Iraq from all harm.
