Assistant Professor Dr. Israa Nasser Ghulam from the Department of Life Sciences published a scientific study entitled “Methods for Controlling Land Snails (reviewed)” in the Journal of the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Kerbala. The study aimed to provide a comprehensive review of methods for controlling land snail species, which are serious agricultural pests that threaten the agricultural sector and cause huge losses to the economy. The study explains all mechanical, chemical, and biological methods. The study also included an overview of land snails as an agricultural pest, the role of technology in controlling them, the most important species that can be considered serious pests that threaten farmers and agriculture in general, and the impact of control methods on the environment and ecosystems.
