As part of a series of field visits conducted by the academic departments at the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Dr. Jihan Haider Khalil, a lecturer from the Physics Department and head of the College’s Human Rights Unit, visited the Retirement and Social Security Department in Karbala Governorate. This visit was in light of Article 8 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which stipulates decent work and economic growth. She met with a number of employees and staff working in the Social Security Department and was briefed on the social security work mechanism and the benefits of the new social security law, which contributes to achieving social security and enhancing financial guarantees for employees.
