A Lecturer from the Department of Biology Obtains a Doctorate in Studying the Evaluation of Some Biological, Physiological and Genetic Indicators in Male Ischemic Heart Patients in Kerbala Governorate

Discussion of a Doctoral Thesis

The lecturer (Asst. Lect. Zulfiqar Abbas Miteb) from the Department of Biology obtained a doctorate from the College of Education for Pure Sciences / University of Kerbala for his thesis entitled (Evaluation of some vital, physiological and genetic indicators in male ischemic heart patients in Kerbala Governorate).
The aim of the thesis was to identify coronary artery disease, which is a major cause of mortality and ill health. Knowing the underlying cause is the process of atherosclerosis, which leads to narrowing of the coronary arteries, which limits blood flow to the heart muscle. The prevalence of coronary heart disease is increasing throughout the world, including in our community, which requires not only better recognition of the warning signs of a heart attack, but also a tremendous need for more efforts aimed at prevention.
The thesis included providing insight into the physiological changes that help predict and diagnose coronary artery disease (CAD), and to evaluate the role of biochemical tests in evaluating patients with moderate risk of developing coronary artery disease. There is no doubt that this information is necessary as a background. For any programs to be put in place in the future to study CAD and treat this disease as well.
The researcher also estimated the vital indicators (protein convertase subtilisin kexin 9 (PCSKA), fibroblast growth factor 21, lipocalin and von Willebrand protein factor (levels in serum), as well as measuring blood pressure for all patients and the control group and comparing the vital indicators in the patients. And the control group. Comparison between all vital indicators in patients according to age, body mass index, type of disease, level of smoker, and blood pressure. Comparison between stable and unstable angina and myocardial infarction. The teacher received an excellent rating.
