The Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Education for Pure Sciences organized a training course on “Safe Handling of Chemicals”, delivered by: Asst. Lect. Norhan Ali Hamza, Asst. Lect. Nahla Jaber Hussein, and Asst. Lect. Farah Jabbar Ali. The course aimed to train participants on the importance of safety in chemistry laboratories and their application, how to deal with hazardous and toxic equipment and chemicals, and how to store and trade them. The course also included several interlocutors on the need to provide all laboratory security and safety equipment, including first aid, water sources and fire extinguishers, and training laboratory personnel in laboratory security and safety equipment. The researcher called for attention to such topics in order to focus on safety and chemical hygiene at all times. The need to provide containers for chemicals.
