The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, chaired a meeting of advanced staff to discuss developing the university admission policy and moving towards decentralization.
He stressed during the meeting that the Ministry is continuing to develop the required path to modernize the admission policy with a scientific and procedural vision that guarantees flexible powers for universities in dealing with the admission file and empowering students with academic specializations in colleges and their departments.
The attendees reviewed the implementation stations of the Bologna Process in the faculties of engineering and science, and the evaluation and follow-up of quality indicators in these disciplines, pointing at the same time to the importance of continuous coordination and cooperation with UNESCO to provide the necessary climate for scientific and academic evaluation.
The meeting discussed the postgraduate studies plan for the academic year 2024/2025, updating curricula, international accreditation for medical colleges, and completing the automation of administrative procedures in the ministry’s departments, stressing that there is no choice but to succeed in the year 2024, which will be the year of achievements and achieving excellence in the environment of higher education and scientific research.
