The College of Education for Pure Sciences Organizes a Scientific Symposium on Educational Counseling

Scientific Symposium

The College of Education for Pure Sciences organized an attending scientific symposium entitled (Educational Counseling), which was delivered by both: Prof. Dr. (Haider Al-Yaqoubi) and the teacher, Dr. (Hussein Abdel-Jubouri). It was attended by teachers, researchers, students and a group of people interested in this topic. This symposium aimed to identify the concept of educational counseling as a process based on a special professional relationship between the specialized counselor (teacher) and the counselor (student). The mentor (teacher) works through the counseling relationship to help and understand the mentor (student) and help him understand himself and choose the best alternatives available to him based on his awareness of the requirements of the social environment and his self-assessment and realistic capabilities and capabilities.
The researcher called for paying attention to such issues because the educational counseling process aims at achieving self-realization and preserving one’s psychological health, and the role of the counselor is to help the individual develop a positive self-concept. We wish more creativity and progress in the field of scientific activities aimed at serving our dear college, and from God Almighty, success and payment.
