Meeting of the Minister of Education with the Ambassador of India

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, received the Indian Ambassador to Baghdad, Mr. Prashant Besai, and they discussed scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries.
The Minister of Education affirmed the keenness of the Ministry and its universities to enhance joint scientific understanding with the ancient Indian university institutions with a global presence in international forums.
He pointed to the importance of developing scientific cooperation mechanisms through bilateral understandings between the two sides, especially about twinning programs between universities, joint supervision, and mutual scholarships.
For his part, His Excellency the Ambassador praised the development proposals for bilateral cooperation and the strategy in light of which the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research operates, stressing his country and its university institutions’ keenness on cultural exchange and updating scholarship programs offered to Iraqi students.
