A Lecturer from the Department of Biology Publishes a Scientific Research on Determining the Chemical Content of Protein, Fat, Moisture, and Ash for two Types of Bony Fish in the Hindiya District

Publication of Scientific Research

A lecturer from the Department of biology (Dr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Wissam Al-Muhanna) published scientific research entitled (Analyzing the nutritional value of Acanthopagrus latus and Coptodon Zilli muscles from the Al-Hindiya River in the Iraqi region of Karbala) in an international journal within the Scopus container. (Revis Bionatura 2022 Volume 7 (issue 4/15/stud dok.org/10 21331/RB/2022.07.04.10).
The research was concluded to determine the chemical content of protein, fat, moisture, and ash for two types of bony fish. latus percentage ranged between (17.42-18.60%), while in C. Zilli it ranged between (17.20-18.54%). Fat content rates in A. latus were 6.40-7.50%, while they ranged between 5.70-6.30% in C. zilli, and ranged Moisture content rates ranged from 74.60 to (70.16%), while in C. Zilli fish the rates ranged between (75.40-72.40%), and the ash content ranged from 1.42 to 1.8% and (1.14-1.34%) in A. latus and C. latus fish. Zilli respectively, and both fish were considered medium-fat fish based on those values in their muscles. We wish him more creativity and progress in the interested research fields in service of our beloved race, and God Almighty grants him success.
