The Department of Chemistry Discusses a Master’s Thesis on Removal to Some Dyes by Adsorption Method Using a New Nano-Poiymer Surface

Master Thesis Discussion

The Department of Chemistry at the College of Education for Pure Sciences discussed a master’s thesis submitted by the student (Samir Kazem Bandar) titled (Removal of some dyes by adsorption method using a new nano _ polymer surface) under the supervision of both Prof. Dr. (Mohamed Nazem Bahgat) First Supervisor and Assistant Prof. Dr. (Imad Salam Abboud) Second Supervisor. The nano-polymer was diagnosed using several FT_IR, 1HNMR, and AFM techniques, and the particle size of the polymer was measured by atomic force microscopy (AFM) technique. It was found that the nano-polymer tends to adsorb dyes (Eosin yellow dye and Wrights stain Methyl orange dye) from aqueous solutions that were removed in This study, the discussion committee consisted of:
Prof. Dr. Hamida Abdan Salman (A Chairman)
Asst. Prof. Dr. Sajid Hassan Kazzar (A Member)
Dr. Zaid Mahmoud Abbas (A Member)
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Nazem Bahjat (Member and First Supervisor)
Asst. Prof. Dr. Emad Salam Abboud (Member, and Second Supervisor)
In conclusion, after extensive scientific discussion and listening to the student’s defense of his thesis and research method and his use of sources and references, the thesis was approved with distinction. Congratulations to the student, his supervisors, and the College of Education for Pure Sciences for this great achievement, and for more creativity in service to great Iraq, and from God Almighty, success and payment.
