The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research congratulated Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel Sahib on the occasion of the start of the new academic year 2023/2022, in which Iraqi universities regain their full attendance. The congratulatory message said:

We congratulate and congratulate the university family in Iraq, all the academic community, and our student children, on the start of the new academic year 2023/2022, in which our educational institutions will restore their full attendance performance and evoke from it additional momentum in caring for students as one of the most important pillars of the educational process, enabling them to achieve educational attainment, and intensifying attention to this important segment.
Proceeding from its academic and legal responsibilities, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its universities and colleges, both governmental and private, which exceed more than a hundred institutions throughout Iraq and include several teachers of more than fifty-three thousand and embrace more than a million students, continues its programs and scientific and educational policy, which deserved international praise and praise from UNESCO is at the top of the transformation of education and the embodiment of its sustainable development goals, especially the quality of education and the arrangement of priorities according to the national and global perspective.
While the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its universities are committed to the quality of the educational environment and its inputs by applying the standards of institutional and program accreditation in terms of governance, management, resources, students, faculty members, curricula, and scientific research, it is exclusively responsible for evaluating the outputs and measuring its indicators scientifically and objectively that ensures meeting the needs of the market and community service.
To utilize the available capabilities that were and still are a strong point for facing challenges and a vital pillar in responding to scientific developments and covering technical and clinical requirements, the Ministry of Education calls on university administrations and teaching staff to integrate and work in a team spirit and to enhance the positive results achieved in the fields of classification, a global publication, quality and accreditation through Program accreditation boards and their international standards approved in all medical, engineering, scientific and humanitarian disciplines.
