Commitment to Cultural Exchange and Academic Cooperation with Countries in the Region and the World

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel Sahib, affirmed the commitment of the Ministry and its universities to cultural exchange and academic cooperation with countries in the world.
This came when he received the Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic, Mr. Sattam Jadaan Al-Dandah, where the two sides discussed the possibilities of scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries and framing cultural exchange programs in light of the context of understanding between Iraqi and Syrian higher education and scientific research institutions.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Director-General of the Department of Missions and Cultural Relations, Dr. Hazem Baqir Taher, the Minister of Education stated that Iraq and its academic institutions are working to develop coordination and development paths for cultural exchange and sustainable academic cooperation in accordance with the approved determinants and standards of scientific sobriety, pointing at the same time to the readiness of Iraqi universities to receive students Syrians and offer and exchange scholarships and fellowships.
In turn, the Ambassador expressed his happiness with the meeting and the keenness of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to develop areas of cooperation and improve the quality of programs for academic understandings and agreements with countries in the region and the world.
