Iraqi universities register competitive positions in the URAP classification


Iraqi universities scored important competitive positions in the URAP World Ranking for the year 2022/2021. And the official website (https://urapcenter.org/…/2021-2022/World_Ranking_2021-2022) showed a ranking of (3002) universities around the world, while nine Iraqi universities consolidated their positions in the rankings, which are the universities of Baghdad, Technology, Al-Mustansiriya, Basra, Babylon, Mosul, Qadisiyah, Kufa and the University middle tech. The URAP ranking is based on scientific articles 21%, citations 21%, total number of research papers 10%, total article impact 18%, total citation impact 15%, international cooperation 15%.
It is worth noting that Iraqi universities have their presence and their escalating competition in international rankings, especially the (The Times) classification in which there are currently four Iraqi universities, the (QS) classification in which there are five universities, the (Scimago) classification in which there are twenty-two universities, and the (Greenmetric) classification, which entered It has sixty-one Iraqi universities and the URAP classification, in which four Iraqi universities are present, and a Webometrics classification is added to it, which recorded the attendance and competition of eighty-two Iraqi universities and colleges, while the Scientific Research Index in Global Publishing Containers showed that Iraq ranked forty-fifth globally, sixth in the Middle East and third Arabic.
