Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Clarifies the Working Mechanism for the Academic Year 2021-2022

The echanism of working hours in public and private universities and colleges for the academic year 2021-2022

Based on the decision of the Supreme Committee for Health and National Safety (Combating the Corona Virus Pandemic). The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research decided to adopt the student attendance mechanism for the academic year 2021-2022, as shown below:
First: Preliminary studies:
Basic lessons and practical side:
Faculties of the Medical and Health Group and Veterinary Medicine (finished stages) are fully in attendance.
Faculties of the Medical and Health Group and Veterinary Medicine (unfinished stages) have three days a week.
Faculties with engineering and scientific disciplines, and for all stages, attendance is required, two or three days per week, according to the need for the specialization (determined by the college councils, departments, and scientific branches).
Faculties with humanitarian specializations and for all stages are in attendance, two days a week.
The performance of the quarterly and final exams for the basic and practical lessons shall be in attendance.
Non-basic lessons are taught electronically for all disciplines and academic levels.
The university councils have the authority to increase one day for students to work in attendance in case of need to complete the requirements of the educational process.
The university councils have the authority to work in attendance on Saturdays in order to ensure the smooth distribution of schedules and to accommodate the increasing numbers of middle school graduates who are accepted into colleges and institutes.
Second: Postgraduate Studies:
Always be present.
All exams are in attendance.
Third: Students, staff, and teaching staff are not allowed to stay in governmental and private institutes and colleges, and count them as absent unless they bring a vaccination card or a negative (PCR) examination weekly for those not covered by the vaccine or those infected during the previous three months (supported by medical reports from the competent committees).
