Discussing a PhD thesis

The Department of Biology Sciences at the College of Education for Pure Sciences / University of Karbala discussed a doctoral thesis titled (a comparative study of the preventive and therapeutic role of the aqueous extract of wheatgrass triticum aestivum on the toxic effectiveness of terracene in some biochemical and histopathological parameters in male white rats), for the student (Alaa Masakh Al-Daami garbage), And that was on Sunday 12/13/2020, and in the discussion room for postgraduate studies of the Department of Life Sciences, under the supervision of Prof. Naseer Mirza Hamza, the goal of the thesis was to demonstrate the toxic effects of tetrazine dye on liver and kidney tissue in laboratory rats (albino rats), and to demonstrate the toxic effects of tartrazine stain on some biochemical parameters related to the liver, which include (ALT, AST, ALP) as well as related to the kidney. Includes (urea, creatine, uric acid, sodium, potassium, calcium), indicating the toxic effects of tartrazine dye on the levels of some sources of lipids that include (TG, TC, VLDL, LDL, HDL), indicating the toxic effects of tertrazine at levels of some standards Oxidation that includes (GSH, SOD, NDA, GBX, CATALASE), and from the conclusions of the discussion, the treatment with the tetrazine dye resulted in a significant decrease in the weights of the animals, and also the treatment with the tartrazine stain led to the occurrence of tissue changes in the kidneys and the liver such as glomerular atrophy and cell necrosis as well as Enlargement and congestion in the central vein, the treatment with tetrazine stain led to the development of a state of oxidative stress, which in turn led to a decrease in the level of antioxidants (GSH, GBX, SOD, CAT,), and High level of lipid peroxidation and production of (MDA), the cold aqueous extract of wheatgrass can be considered safe in handling and does not lead to harm to the body, and the discussion came out with several recommendations, including, conducting a study to find out the cumulative effect of tetrazine dye on children being the most consumers of this dye. Wheatgrass as a food substance because it contains effective compounds that will help the immune system in suppressing free radicals that may be generated in the body as a result of consuming some food additives, studying the active substances in the aqueous extract of wheatgrass plant antioxidant in reducing the effects resulting from treatment with tetrazine dye Reducing the consumption of colored materials with the tetrazine dye, due to the negative effects it can have on human health, and the student has obtained a complete estimate.
