The Minister of Education Receives the Regional Director of the Francophone University Agency

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel Sahib, received the Regional Director of the Francophone University Agency in the Middle East, Mr. Jean-Noel Baliou and his accompanying delegation. The Minister of Education stressed the Iraqi university institution’s keenness on positive cooperation that serves academic, scientific and development goals, provides a perspective climate for applied research projects, and supports international partnership tracks in the fields of twinning between Iraqi and French universities, scientific publishing, training, exchange of experiences, and offering mutual scholarships and fellowships. He called for applying models of scientific cooperation between the two sides in the fields of environment, addressing climate change, developing technical and industrial expertise, and get benefit from its outputs in investing and employing young people.
For his part, the Regional Director of the Francophone University Agency expressed his happiness to meet and open up prospects for coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its universities, besides to identify areas for joint academic work. Education and achieving comprehensive development goals.
