The Department of Mathematics Holds a Training Course on How to Choose a Very Important Graduation Research Topic

Training Course

As part of a series of student activities held by the scientific departments and with the follow-up of the presidency of the scientific departments in the College of Education for Pure Sciences, the Department of Mathematics held a training course for the students of the Mathematics Department, which was held by the teaching staff (Asst. Lect. Benin Sadiq).
Its goal was how to choose a topic for graduation research with a great degree of importance. It is important to choose what suits the student or group of students entrusted with the research, and the easiest way to do this is to choose a topic that has been studied within the university’s corridors, but this should be from another angle or with expansion.
It also explained the way in which the student addresses the research topic. In order to reach scientifically sound results, the most prominent scientific research methods are the deductive method, the inductive method, the quantitative method, the descriptive method, and the historical method. The researcher chooses the method according to the nature of the research study.
At the conclusion of the course, the importance of sources and previous studies among the important elements of graduation research have been highlighted. The researcher must have clear information and data about the research problem. In order to be able to clarify all aspects related to the topic, with the importance of documenting all references that are reviewed in the body of the research, as well as in an independent list of references according to the alphabetical letters of the authors of the references. Wishing for more creativity and progress in the field of purposeful student activities, and God Almighty’s success and payment.
