Scientific, cultural and research cooperation agreement
The Republics of Iraq and France signed an agreement for scientific, cultural and research cooperation between institutions of higher education and scientific research in both countries. The agreement was signed by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and the representative of the French government, Mr. Eric Chevalier. The bilateral cooperation agreement is part of the partnership agreement signed by the Prime Minister, Mr. Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, and the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, on January 27, 2023. It includes establishing partnerships and cooperation between institutions of higher education and scientific research in the two countries in the fields of science, engineering, environment, archaeology, heritage, law, and the French language, exchanging visits to academic institutions, participating in conferences, seminars, and joint research projects, exchanging scholarships, and developing programs for doctoral grants and scientific residencies.
