A Lecturer from the College of Education for Pure Sciences Publishes a Scientific Article on the Effect of (E251) as a Preservative on the College Fabric

Scientific Article

The educational staff in the College of Education for Pure Sciences/Department of biology (Prof. Dr. Ashwaq Kazem Obaid) has accepted the publication of a tagged scientific article entitled (Effect of E251 as a preservative on the college tissue) by the Scientific Articles Committee at the Presidency of Karbala University after completing the article for all Publication Terms. (Prof. Ashwaq Kazem Obaid) stated that preservatives are chemicals used to keep foodstuffs fresh for a longer period, as they contain antimicrobials and oxidants, prevent food poisoning and allow for higher safety when importing some foods, as well as limiting the deterioration in food. Food product and reduce its wastage Despite the presence of natural preservatives such as salt, alcohol, vinegar, and sugar, the food industry deals with toxic chemicals that are actually linked to many diseases and negative health effects. Sodium nitrate works to cause kidney dysfunction by causing damage to the work of the renal tubules and histological changes and reduces the natural absorption of substances in the renal tubules. Many pathological changes were also observed in the kidneys treated with sodium nitrate, which caused kidney damage represented by shrinking of the capillary tuft of the glomerulus. Glomerular tuft, and degeneration of some urinary tubules and the epithelial cells lining them, and focal fibrosis and infiltration of a number of inflammatory cells resulted. The results showed that the kidneys suffer from irregular thickening of the glomerular basement membrane.
