Launch of the Chemical Asset Tracking Program

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, announced the launch of the Chemical Assets Tracking Program and the universities’ progress in developing their specialized laboratories in cooperation with international organizations. In his speech during the launch event, the Minister of Education said that the ministry and its academic institutions provided a scientific environment for the development of safety and security programs and projects in cooperation with international organizations.
He added that the launch of this program will enable universities and their specialized scientific centers to control the tracking of prohibited materials and will limit the possibility of accessing them or using them to threaten humanity and the environment. For his part, the Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Ali Hamid Al-Shukri, reviewed the efforts exerted to implement the Chemical Assets Tracking Program, which will work to improve the level of safety and security through the implementation of projects represented in the rehabilitation of a number of specialized laboratories in Iraqi universities, as well as training projects for workers within this program.
