Two Lecturers from the Department of Biology Publish a Research on Seasonal Changes in the Algae Community Attached to Mud

Publishing a Scientific Research

Two lecturers from the Department of Biology (Lect. Hadeel Muhammad Thabet and Lect. Sawsan Samir Hadi) published a paper entitled Study of Seasonal Changes of Mud-Admitted Algae Community of Al-Hussainiya River in Holy Karbala / Iraq. The research was published in the Journal of Karbala University. The results of the research were summarized in a study of the quality and quantity of benthic algae attached to the mud of the Husseiniya River, in addition to a study of some chemical and physical properties of the river water for a whole year (2016), as the properties showed a correlation with seasonal climatic changes and the growth of algae was relatively intense in all seasons except for the winter season.
