Signing Memorandum of Understanding in the Fields of Higher Education and Scientific Research

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel Sahib, met his Emirati counterpart, Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, and discussed the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the scientific and academic field and the exchange of experiences.
The two sides agreed, in the presence of the Minister of Education, Ali Hamid Al-Dulaimi, the Iraqi Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Muzaffar Mustafa Al-Jubouri, and the Director-General of the Department of Missions and Cultural Relations, Dr. Hazem Baqer Taher, on a draft memorandum of understanding in the field of higher education and scientific research, as well as memorandum of understanding between the competent Iraqi universities and their counterparts. To organize scholarships for Iraqi students wishing to study in Emirati universities, whether at the level of primary or postgraduate studies, in a way that contributes to achieving scientific and knowledge cooperation.
The Minister of Education and his Emirati counterpart discussed the formulation of cooperation paths in the fields of engineering, science and renewable energies, the nomination of two specialized universities from Iraq in engineering, science and renewable energies specializations, and the mechanisms for nominating the first three students from each department to join the academic seats that the UAE side expressed its willingness to provide for Iraqi students who excel in specializations related to artificial intelligence.
